One of many man-made tunnels in the area, dug in the early 1900's as silica mines, then used as cold storage before being abandoned by the 1950's. Often incorrectly identified as the Wabasha Street Caves, they were popular hangouts and party spots for area teenagers until the caves were sealed following the 2004 deaths of three teens in one of the caves. 6x4.5 negative; similars available.
