Stock photography, photos: Tornado Jet Fighter Stock photos of The Panavia Tornado is a jet engine fighter-bomber jointly developed as the multi-role combat aircraft - or MRCA - by Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom. The jets are used for both air combat and reconnaissance missions and may be equipped with bombs, air-to-air missiles, and air-to-surface missiles. The Tornado‚s primary weapons when it entered service were the AIM-9 Sidewinder and Skyflash, a British upgrade of the American AIM-7 Sparrow missile.
