The walkway ascends to a height of 140 feet above ground and is comprised of 7 suspended bridges with viewing platforms that wind through the tree canopy for 1000 feet. Kakum is a unique stand of old growth rain forest that is home to numerous species of antelope, elephants, reptiles, birds and butterflies as well as tropical hardwoods and indigenous plants used as local medicines.
