Q: What is stock photography (and the advantages of licensing images vs. using clip-photo discs).
Q: Can I use your stock/vintage images for free?, it's for a good and/or non-profit cause.
A: No. Even for a good and/or non-profit cause, we are still under contract with our photographers to license the images for a royalty fee. For more information on copyright, see our Copyright Information Page.
Q: Where do I go to quickly view your online images?
A: Our Category Page, which displays 200 of our most popular images.
Q: What if I want to do a more extensive online search?
A: Go to our Online Photo Search Database which has several thousand thumbnail images.
Q:Are all your images online?
A: No, but we do have several thousands of our most popular images online. Because unique and specialized images are rarely requested or used, it is not very cost effective to put every image online or in a catalog. However, we do have a free custom Off-line Photo Search service that will allow you to request subject selections from any of the other 200,000 images in our library and view those images within 24 hours of placing your request!
Q: How do you price your stock photography.
A: We have an online price list for our most frequently requested reproduction uses (this also how to order and how we delivery the images). If your particular use goes beyond the scope of our online price list (it's almost impossible to publish a price list for every possible use), please call us and we'll be happy to give you a free, no obligation price quote --or use our online price quote form.
Q: Do you have a free catalog that I can order?
A: We do not carry a printed catalog. We have found digital catalogs to be more cost effective. You can order our free CD-ROM catalog online.
Q: How large can I reproduce digital image files?
A: We can supply you with color transparencies that you can scan at any resolution you want, or we can supply you with digital image files (already scanned from our color transparencies. The size or resolution of these files and your use application will determine how large each can be reproduced. We have a handy, online reproduction chart to help you determine the resolution you would need for a variety of different applications.
Q: Where can I find examples of good graphic design and Web design on the Internet?
A: We have a list of companies or individuals that have used innovative design and quality content to showcase themselves on the Internet. We consider them to be among the top five percent of the Web sites on the Internet. We have awarded these sites our weekly TOP PHOTO-DESIGN AWARD.

Q: Are you accepting new stock photographers?
A: Yes, we're always looking for new talent. We have some online information about our agency, the type of images we need, our contract, how we pay, and how to submit photos to us for review.
Q: Do stock photo agencies charge to be included in their stock photo catalogs; and how do you get accepted into those catalogs?
Q: Do stock photo agencies charge for making duplicate transparencies (dupes)?
A: All agencies make dupes for their catalog images and for their sub-agents; and most agencies charge their photographers for these dupe, either through deductions on future sales or my taking a larger commission.
