• Week of 01/15/96: Poppe Tyson has made a splash on the Web, but it's their ability to seamlessly mesh new media with old that make them our agency of the year 1995," said Marketing Computer magazine. (Not only do they have a well designed site, but they license a lot of stock photography from us --no prejudice here!) Be sure read their "Reaching Customers On-line" page.

• Week of 01/08/96: O'Keefe World is a colorful and fun site by O'Keefe Marketing. Be sure visit their porfolio to see a well rounded list of clients, with generous use of great photography.

• Week of 01/01/96: Magick Rainbow is the bold and graphic computer illustration work of Stephen G. The download is worth the wait, if you like good 3D graphics. Don't attempt to view this site with a 256-color (8-bit) display, or you'll be wasting your time.

• Week of 12/25/95: Communication Arts. The world's largest magazine on creativity for graphic designers, art directors, copywriters, photographers, illustrators and multimedia designers. Be sure to visit their Exhibit Online, a place where you can show "new, outstanding, high-quality work" to the worldwide online creative community.

• Week of 12/18/95: Interface Web Site Designers shows off their portfolio of Web sites. Their work for "The Alexandria/Pineville Virtual Community" and "The Alexandria Museum of Art" was especially well done.

• Week of 12/04/95: Markarts is a gallery of 3D illustrations by computer artist, Mark Wilczenski. His progressive Web page design won't leave you hanging, because you never load more than the depth of one screen and two thumbnails at a time.

• Week of 11/27/95: Hawaii's Art & Book Walk is just one of the many fine "Internet Publishing" examples we could have featured by Graphic Communication. Their careful planning makes for a fast "read", and their awesome graphics were quick to load and visually exciting.

• Week of 11/20/95: Southern Utah is a Web site designed by InfoWest. There's nothing "way cool" here, just beautiful and clean work --a pleasurable escape from the some of the "screaming" pages we've reviewed.

• Week of 11/13/95: Synth Art by Valery Kritchallo. Graphical works that seamlessly merge fractal patterns and real-world objects. Try this "Foliage" image for example, before you venture further, as Valery's home page takes a while to load.

• Week of 11/06/95: Portfolio from the Netherlands. Graphic design, illustration, & photography. A unique site entrance and style.

• Week of 10/30/95: MacArt Magazine. This week's award is for content. Although this electronic magazine is geared for Macintosh users, anyone who works with graphics (especially via Photoshop) will find the illustrated tips here very useful. You can view issues 1-3 online or download issues 1-5 in the higher quality pdf file format, and view them offline.

• Week of 10/23/95: Mountain Travel*Sobek. One of the best uses of an image map I've ever seen. Super photography, too (check out their "Post Cards" section).

• Week of 10/16/95: Turnstyle. Clean, and to-the-point Web design. Be sure to click on their "Web Sites" which features three sites they have designed.

• Week of 10/09/95: David Siegel's "Casbah". A graphic designer who knows TYPE and how to work around HTML's limitations. Be sure to follow the "doors" to his home page.

• Week of 10/02/95: The Digital Directory. Portfolio samples of the work of illustrators, photographers, designers, multi-media artists and website designers. Be sure to check out their "Artist of the day" link.

• Week of 09/25/95: Dahlin Smith White. Some very interesting uses of transparent GIFs!

• Week of 09/18/95: DesignSphere Online. A resource of links to ad agencies, graphic designers, as well as the vendors that service them.
