• Week of 04/15/96: The Web designers at Wow Digital Imaging display a remarkable degree of style flexability for their clients. Compare the design styles of these two sites they created for the PDN Masters Series, around the work of Michel Tcherevkoff and Joyce Tenneson.

• Week of 04/08/96: Chris Nye Illustrations offers a variety of stylized work, with strong emphasis on children subjects.

• Week of 04/01/96: Bookmark Grafman Productions as a resource for "The Internet Spec List", Grafman's favorite Internet protocols and specifications; and "GIF*DOT(tm)", Grafman's perl-based CGI form creating single pixel GIFs that can be used to enhance HTML formatting and to create HTML-based bar charts. While you're there, you might as well stay around and see "Grafman's VR World", his 3D Virtual Gallery and VR Snowman.

  Week of 03/25/96: No award given.

• Week of 03/18/96: Infodex is Tommy Oddo's handy little online "book", a cleverly designed guide to his company profile, services, and project samples. Also linked from the book was his innovative "Pre-Fab Graphics", home of Oddo Design's Graphic Outlet, where one can get home page graphics packages for as low as $39! If you have Netscape 2.0 with Macromedia's Shockwave plug-in, you'll also want to enter through Oddo's home page to view and hear his welcome movie.

• Week of 03/11/96: Bibliotheque Bajazzo Amsterdam is a new exhibition of online experimental art. Grab Netscape 2.0 b5 or newer and hold on tight --this is a multi-screen (frames) presentation, where some of the frames are self-running (animated)! Select the "LAST" button on top of the menu. This wild trip really put our copy of Netscape through the paces (we crashed twice), but the ride was worth the cost.

• Week of 03/04/96: Iconomics has thousands of stock line art and graphics from 25 illustrators. They can deliver design-quality graphics via modem, e-mail, ftp or diskette. You can view and order many of these stock "icon" graphics on site, or have custom illustrations made to order.

• Week of 02/26/96: Portfolios Online is an attractive database of photographers, illustrators, graphic designers, industrial designers, and animators created by the Néray MarCom advertising agency. One of their more innovative databases is Models Online. Although this interactive models index is capable of a "Pro Search", their "RANDOMIZER" is a clever feature for net surfers who want to let "Cyber Search" take them on a fun ride to visit the beautiful people.

• Week of 02/19/96: Netscape's new home page design was recently completed by their new ad agency, Dahlin Smith White. To get the full effect, you'll need to view the pages with Netscape 2.0, however version 1.x will still give you a good ride. We should mention that the top photo (sailboat) was licensed from us! (It's great to be associated with Netscape and DSW's talented interative division.)

• Week of 02/12/96: The Exploratorium Web site is nearly as much fun as the museum in San Francisco. The home page design hasn't changed much since we visited it nine months ago, but other sections of the site are fresh and packed with creativity. The photos load a little slow, but the view is worth the wait.

• Week of 02/05/96: Erik Josowitz Creative Consulting is a full service marketing and advertising agency specializing in creating net-sensitive spaces. Their porfolio is a changing grid of illustration and logo design. An interesting design that we would like to see completed.

• Week of 01/29/96: Aldous Silva Graphic Design/Advertising has an attractive porfolio featuring some beautiful design and illustration for clients such as Print.

• Week of 01/22/96: Agape Graphics provides professional design, web page creation, 3D modeling, and on-screen presentations for companies throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
